Today I'm bouncing around a lot (I have a HUGE music collection.) ATM I'm on some Skinny Puppy, having just done a few tracks of Front 242... will get into some good 80's Iron Maiden, and then I'll round it out after dinner with a fat stogie and do some "real" 80's Duran Duran, Talking Heads, the Police, and even 80's Madonna (and just 80's Madonna, she sux now, lol.) The Immaculate Collection is a great one to have.

Ive loved these guys since I discovered them in the 90s. The genre is referred to as "psychobilly" or "punkabilly.' It's sorta like Punk Elvis. Check em out!

I always get Orbital and The Orb mixed up, lol. I've got some of both. Which one is it that does "Little Fluffy Clouds?" Years ago I would come home from work with a 6 pack of Rolling Rock, smoke me one of them thar left-handed cigarettes, put on some headphones and listen to that over and over again. Twas a really nice feeling.
I imagine I'll spend most of the day listening to Blitzkid, which Zimmy introduced me too

I enjoyed all 3, but The Revolution Will Not Be Televised was especially awesome to me. It's funny, I used to hear my dad say that every once in a while and I had no idea wtf it meant, lol.
I'm roaming all over the place with music today, which is fun, too. Though I'd share a funny one (to me, anyway) with you guys:
The Vandals - The Legend of Pat Brown
"Why did you do it"? Pat Brown - "It was my birthday"

OK this is by far my favorite ongoing thread, and horror of horrors... it was like waaaayyy down on the page! This must not be allowed!
So, sometime soon Im gonna make a thread about bands that used to be awesome and then turned to crap. With that in mind, for the last hour or so Ive been listening to OLD Megadeth, the 1st 3 albums. I sorta lost track of em after the 3rd, but what little bits I heard of the subsequent albums I didnt especially care for.
1st album, not bad, not great. (yes I cba to type the names) 2nd album, pretty damn good. I like it. 3rd album, probably my favorite.
anyway, just a friendly bump to a good thread, and many thanks to those of you who have turned me on to some new stuff that I like. I always think it's awesome when you can introduce someone to new musiv that they like.

I've been channeling the true King of Rock and Roll (or at least of Heavy Metal) none other than Mr Ronnie James Dio (pbuh)
Dio - Holy Diver
Dio - The Last In Line My personal favorite.
And seriously folks, even if you don't care for the music, you should watch the videos - early 80's crap videos with terrible props and effects and ludicrous storylines.
IT'S FREAKIIN AWESOME

Very cool. I used to have a program (and I think it's still on the web. It's free) called Brainwave Generator that used binaural beats. It came with several presets as well as giveng the option to make your own.
I used to use it to help with meditation and relaxation. You're the only other person Ive met who knew what binaural beats are.
Should prolly get back into that, tbh.
As for what I'm listening to today: meandering quite a bit thru the genres as I often do on early and lazy days. Stay tuned
